Karmic Ties
If you’re interested in enlightenment, chances are you’re an old soul and have lived multiple lives before this one. Your previous incarnations are bound to have accumulated karmic ties that now need to be broken. These come in the form of past selfish interactions you had with others.
According to the law of karma, any effect of an action not yet seen must take place. These effects can take days, years or even lifetimes depending on the initial circumstances.
Life is easier when you accept that the suffering that you endured was deserved. For every effect you experience in your life, there was an equal cause. So if you’re suffering in an area of your life, it’s due to a selfish action you had taken previously.
Fast-Tracking
It’s possible for the process to be expedited by experiencing your karma all at once. This involves enduring extreme suffering to right your past wrongs.
Although this isn’t always necessary. It’s possible to use selfless acts to right selfish wrongs. This is an often overlooked facet of spiritual purification.
Some people are naturally drawn to the path of spiritual purification. So selflessness, empathy and compassion are inherit qualities. This brings them closer to resolving their karma.
A Selfless State
Eliminating selfishness brings you closer to a selfless state. And when all of your selfish actions have been absolved, you’ll be spiritually pure enough to return to divine consciousness. This is when enlightenment is possible.
Enlightenment signifies the end of karmic ties and freedom from the cycle of rebirth. The spirit has successfully transcended separation and merged with the universe.
